Tir Chonaill continued to pile the pressure on but a combination of good defending and poor finishing saw them convert 2 from 9 chances created, the points coming from McMenamin and JP O'Donnell to reduce the arrears to 1 point with 5 minutes remaining.
The 25th minute of the half proved the crucial moment when a move started by Eamon O Cuiv, saw the ball move slickly up field with O Cuiv and Quinn involved all the way before Quinn finished an exquisite move to the net. Points were exchanged between McMenamin and Quinn before the final whistle blew.
