Ladies First challenge of the Season (Monday 30-March-2009)
The ladies team faced Holloway Gaels in a challenge match on Sunday
March 29th in Greenford.
This was a very enjoyable game and the standard of football played was
excellent. Unfortunately Fulham were not victorious on this occasion
but there were major positives in the performance for the season ahead.
We were only one point to the deficit at half time and stayed in contention throughout the game.
There were outstanding performances from Sarah Allen in midfield and
Leah Williams and Rachel Ryan in defence.
Leah Horan's boot proved lethal up front as she helped herself to five
goals.
We would like to offer a big thank you to Holloway for providing us
with both opposition and several players for this game. Best of luck to
both teams for the season ahead.
